It took me approximately three seconds from pressing the play button on this song to the moment I started doing some dance moves while sitting in my office. Another few seconds till Zak Abel’s vocals hit in - I just can’t resist that groove.
This track is a solid start of the album One Hand On The Future. Catchy, moving, with a pinch of modern r&b and, as I like to say, “soulful” sound. The lyrics tell us a story about personal misfortune and the desire to get away. Something that nowadays pretty much everybody thinks about at a certain time and yet – heard through the song, it gives you a positive tune.
P.S. curious facts - Zak Abel has Moroccan roots and has also been an English Cadet national table tennis champion. He’s 24 years old and multitalented – what more?
