In this crowded music world nowadays, it's such a pleasure to find something that makes you say "Wow!".
Zahir, the young Washington, DC-based artist, whom we've already featured with "Unusual", brings his debut EP called Chaos St. which swings between r&b, hip hop, and soul. The 4-track installment delves into the meaning of community & the intricate realm of loneliness. Zahir skillfully navigates the complex tapestry of emotions like longing and loss - which have been constant companions on his journey. His introspective verses harmonize seamlessly with the curious & hazy instrumentals, making the tunes reminiscent of the likes of Rejjie Snow, Noname, or EARTHGANG's calmer songs.
The closing tune "Swan Song" instantly became my favorite with its intricate boom bap & the sweet vocals of Nali. But definitely check the full project which flows seamlessly from start to finish - "Unusual" with Phoenix James & Wiseboy Jeremy is also on there.
