Yuki Ame is not an unfamiliar name. Last year the British beat-maker impressed us with his melodic nostalgia "Makoto" and now I wanted to share with you more of the sound worlds he created.
His latest journey features the vocals of ZOE who I know much about, but seriously blew my mind. The track is taken off his new EP Anamnesis and it is the perfect blend of downtempo, r&b and beat music. The inspiration behind this gem actually comes from ZOE and her life/experiences in London. One particular snippet of her lyrics, "I feel so disposable", really got to me. A call for calling bullshit on everything that's out there. A time of realization when one should know they should be self-sufficient and self-love is the most important thing in the world.
The song idea has been floating "around" for more than 2 years and I just wanted to say I'm really happy we're able to experience it right now. Touching, personal and pure.
