Ylja is part of this year's lineup at the Iceland Airwaves Festival - not for the first time since the band is already around for a few years now.
The band was founded in 2008 by Gígja Skjaldardóttir and Bjartey Sveinsdóttir. Their folk / acoustic music comes with dreamy vocal melodies and tasteful guitar riffs. Their song "Light As A Stone" was part of their self-titled debut album.
Currently, they work on their second album. So if you are around at Airwaves Festival this year, you might hear some of their new creative output!
