Stereofox is reaching its 5th birthday next year and to this day I think I can still recall my favourite feature on the website.
A 2013 post of bear//face's remix on How To Dress Wells' "& It Was You" titled "taste my sad". No matter how things sometimes feel when it comes to Stereofox, time and time I go back to this track and it just sends me to that place where the only thing that matters is finding the next song which moves your heart. The next "taste my sad".
OK, enough with the nostalgy. I think there might be a new contestant for that special place. Meet ¥EN - a mysterious "love addict" which I found on SoundCloud. Her version of "& It Was You" is... definitely quite something. And while it still does remind me of bear//face's one, the young producer definitely adds her own vision on the original.
The whole thing is utterly mesmerizing.
