We talked before about Wolf Alice, an alternative rock band started in London in 2010, and they finally released their first Ep called Blush early this week, including "She" what it could be their very first hit single. From the start, the galloping bass line made me think straight away in the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, even finding some similarities with Karen O’s voice during the whole verse (especially on the second one).
But you need to wait a little bit more until you discover that there is this 90’s influence above any other possible. What do I mean? It’s easy. From the moment the song explodes into the chorus line, you will not be sure if it’s some kind of lost track from Veruca Salt. With perfect vocal harmonies, extremely catchy without being cheesy or deliberately pop in any case, the song sticks in your head within a second.
There’s just a small breakdown with soft and precious arrangements going through a powerful outro that could make of this track one of your favorite ones for this upcoming weekend.
