Downslide

Short but sweet, Werdperfect's "Downslide" is the universe telling you you're damn cool.

Relying on thick basslines and bluesy a-la-Clutch guitars, Matthew managed to bottle quite a lot in just a minute and 33 seconds. It will inevitably make you abuse that repeat button in the player.

In his youth, Werdperfect had the chance to open for acts like Aesop Rock and the late MF DOOM as part of the rap group Anti Biter Coalition. Today, his music is deeply influenced by the nostalgic essence of raw, lyrical rap, layered over beautifully arranged samples and drums. Utilizing an MPC 2000xl, he captures the classic sound reminiscent of his predecessors resulting in this absolute gem titled "Downslide".
