You probably recognize his name from a song called "WARRIOR" by his close friend and label mate, EVDN., where he works magic with his ethereal trumpet sound. I have known him for years and have always admired his talent, dedication, multi-instrumentalism, and more. Today, I am beyond excited and thrilled to share the debut Next Time Maybe EP from one of the most prominent brass players in the Bulgarian alt neo-soul/funk scene, VLADKO.
VLADKO’s debut masterpiece is a mesmerizing 6-track EP that seamlessly blends the dynamic intricacies of jazz with the enticing allure of lo-fi house. All that while infusing elements of nu-funk and future beats, resulting in an immersive musical journey that transcends genre boundaries.
The title track fuses future beats and switches to a Kaytranada-like housey groove, all spiced up with soulful vocals by C-MO, and the lush brass of VLADKO. Needless to say, that's my favorite track on the mini-album, but I am sure you'll love all the other songs from the EP.
“The project is inspired by how easily one can break free from one’s own cycle and take new, much more beautiful steps with ease.”, shares VLADKO
With this EP, the rising multi-instrumentalist not only showcases his mastery and eagerness but also paints a sonic landscape that captivates listeners, taking them on an unforgettable sonic adventure through the realms of jazz-infused electronic music.
