South London producer, saxophonist, and Grammy-Award musician Malik Venner aka Venna went above and beyond in his new sonic journey "Prophet". What I'm about to share with you is more than a song. It is a full-on audio-visual experience designed to stimulate all of your senses. That's why, before anything, you should start with the unmatched visuals below.

At just 21, Venna earned a Grammy Award for his contributions to Burna Boy’s album Twice As Tall, and later on turned heads with the release of the VENOLOGY EP (2021) and EQUINOX (2023) featuring "Casa Lopez" with Masego and Mick Jenkins. He was also part of Yussef Dayes's ground-breaking Black Classical Music album alongside Rocco Palladino and Charlie Stacey - an album that earned a spot on our The 100 Best Albums of 2023.

Going back to today's reason to love music, "Prophet", Venna has managed to bottle the gentleness of soul and r&b and the creative dynamics of jazz music. Leading a dream team of musicians, including Alastair O'Donnell, Alexander Bourt, Marco Bernardis, Rocco Palladino, and Yussef Dayes, this single is the first of what I hope to be a full studio record sometime this year (or an EP, at least).

"I’ve been crafting this next body of work for almost 2 years & it’s some of the best art I’ve ever created. Prophet was the 1st record made, so it’s only right we start here.", Malik shares on Instagram.
