The new UpstairsPeople release "Everything" is brimming with feelings of melancholy and hopelessness from start to finish.
Mysterious duo UpstairsPeople have only started their journey as producers a few months ago, yet they're already making waves in the UK electronic underground. "Everything" is undoubtedly their darkest release so far with its thick, heavy pads that emulate desolation weighing heavy on your shoulders. Their rhythm section however is adorned with a bright top end and fast-paced drums - quite a contrast to the moody melodic arrangement. Their Burial influence shines through the emotive vocals and the cinematic sample of what sounds like someone crying.
