"4 Da Beats" literally felt like a journey through time and not because the track is a couple years old, but because of the old school aesthetic that was brilliantly crafted.
Not just on the drums, but the piano sounds somewhat old too and I would imagine it's a sample from a 70s jazz record. The inclusion of scratches and sparse phrases from rap songs is quite reminiscent of DJ Premier and if you were ever into his style of production, there's a high chance you'd resonate with this.
