This one goes out to Boris because of his obsession with Com Truise.
The journey is almost over, friends. We're 3 days away from Tycho's Weather Remixes release date (out via 18th via Ninja Tune / Mom + Pop). I'm blatantly stealing my list from the previous Nitemoves feature, so I can once more underline the plethora of guests featured on this release.
- "Easy" (Mild Minds Remix)
- "Pink & Blue" (RAC Mix)
- "Japan" (Satin Jackets Remix)
- "Into The Woods (Christopher Willits Remix)
- "Skate" (pluko Remix)
- "For How Long" (Harvey Sutherland Remix)
- "No Stress" (Com Truise Remix)
- "Weather" (Nitemoves Remix)
Today we're cruising with Com's re-do of "No Stress". I don't know why listening to this makes me want to re-watch Dune. I seriously don't. Truise takes the already synth-prominent original and enhances it with a palette of syncopated lush sounds. This is a pure 10/10 in my book.
Taken from Scott's interview with CLASH,
Com Truise is an artist whose work I greatly respect and admire. We both started out as graphic designers, we both came up on the same label - Ghostly International - and we both had our breakthrough records around the same time. So I feel there is a deep connection between our bodies of work and am always inspired by the way he evolves his sound from release to release. One of my favorite Tycho remixes is his rework of "Awake" so I’m very happy to present the Com Truise remix of "No Stress."
