If you too had forgotten about his majestic combination of 80’s pop, disco, and thunder electronic sounds, then I have some good news. After a severe catastrophe and a reconstructive hand surgery in 2015, George Lewis Jr. (aka Twin Shadow) returns with his fourth full-length album, Caer, on April 27th.
I've already heard the few songs that flowed out of it in advance, and this tear-inducing "Little woman" won me with its delicate piano sample, familiar new wave elements and a highly poetic lyrics.
Pretty baby / Let me know / How to touch you / Where to go / With my fingers / With my tongue / With my anger / Love's a gun
It's certainly not for everyone (which is visible in the comment section), but if you like it, you will probably enjoy it as much as I do. A lot.
And yes, this also applies to the metaphorical video and to the whole art of the album, which is definitely worth a look.
