For some reason, I'm in a more upbeat mood since the start of the year.

Another fresh and super interesting piece from Left+Right's own Turna that surprisingly dropped on Christmas Eve.

"Ducky" blends future beats, breakbeat, and 4-on-the-floor rhythm with super captivating vocal samples and mellow pads. Turna shares:

I was originally given a brief to create a remix for any track produced by Pharrell and settled on the scat vocal chop from Kendrick Lamar's "Alright." After juggling with some different ideas I ended up just flipping the sample and creating something completely new which is a kind of upbeat house/breakbeat track with jazz and electronic influences. I am surprise-dropping this on Christmas Eve and getting it into DJs sets just in time for New Years Eve.
