I was off on Friday, so I couldn't be amongst the first to jump on TSHA's long-awaited album Capricorn Sun, but I do promise you this - it was the only thing I listened to on my 3 hour drive.
Been a fan of the UK producer ever since I discovered her Kollektiv Turmstrasse remix in the beginning 2021. There's something about her style that's giving me the energy and hope I experience when I first discovered some of my favourite electronic artists - Moderat, Bonobo and Tourist.
Mark my words, she will be on the top of electronic music in a few years time.
Today, I'm starting with one of tracks which I had on repeat while driving - "Water" featuring Oumou Sangaré - an award-winning singer, composer and activist who champions women's rights in her native Mali.
I'm going to try and do a deep-dive/album review in the upcoming days, but I think this composition captures every single aspect of TSHA's music - emotional, relentless, bouncy, and mystic.
