"Ithaca" shines as one of the standout tracks from Tourist's recent album, Memory Morning, blending his signature downtempo aesthetic with elements reminiscent of his earlier works.
In many ways, Memory Morning comes across as a brighter and more optimistic-sounding record compared to his previous body of work Inside Out - which we covered back in 2022. The track "Ithaca" serves as a wonderful example of this sentiment, and this is accentuated by the lush, atmospheric soundscapes. Midway into the experience, we're welcomed to these glossy vocal chops, followed by a luminous arp lead that eventually breathes life into the track. I love how this saunters between calming and uplifting throughout the various sections we come across.
