Beautiful electronic melancholia. I'm treating myself a mix of lonesome rave and soothing vocals, a combo that goes well with the gloomy weather outside my window. All of that thanks to the latest sound crafted by Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (real name Orlando Tobias Edward Higginbottom).

After 2 stellar collaborations with Bonobo and Amtrac, it's great to feature Orlando's stand-alone work, which I can definitely say - it's captivating af. Very spacious and mystic in its own way, mostly because of the delayed synths, I think. I can't skip on highlighting his vocal abilities which remind me of the work of Moderat at times.

"The Distance" is the title track of a 4-track EP which dropped a week ago via his own cross-platform label Nice Age which he launched with Anna Lunoe.
