Today we celebrate an album that's been the result of lots of love, talent, and creative collaboration. A culmination of our faithful first release with an extraordinary husband-wife duo Toshiki Soejima & Nahokimama from 2023 which started the journey towards Scene LP. All songs are inspired by everyday life situations and scenes the artists have observed, hence the title of the album. Sonically, you’ll experience their wonderful blend of neo-soul-inspired jazz & beats, both soothing & bright.
"Both our EPs – Tokyo & Moyu, were created very naturally and with inspiration from the life that surrounds us – beautiful people, places & situations. This is why we wanted to bring them together, with 2 new songs, and call the album Scene.", the two Japanese artists share.
We're extremely proud to present the project on both vinyl and CD which you can purchase from our store. The records are also available in Tower Record's Shibuya (Tokyo) store if you happen to be around.
Today's highlight, "Moon" is a mesmerizing blend of playful guitars, warm horns, spacey synths & chill beats. A treat to anyone looking for a safe sonic harbor.
