Tor’s Oasis Sky was one of the most wonderful electronic gems we discovered this year. We also had the pleasure of interviewing him and talk about the process and how it all came to be. Now, 5 months later we get to re-live the experience thanks to O’Flynn’s rework on one of the album's pivotal tracks “Lens”.
Inspired by the downtempo essence of the original, O’Flynn transforms “Lens” into a bouncy and broken beat-inspired experimental version with beautifully chopped vocals. This new parallel sonic universe is layered upon a heavy layer of baseline which further enhances the warped vocals. Honestly, that’s such a good rave track, I just can’t.
O'Flynn has been on our radar since he dropped his "Talia" earlier this year, but the up-and-coming UK producer and DJ has been making waves for some time now. He has been hailed by Boiler Room as “one of dance music’s
most prosperous newcomers” and championed by The Guardian as “dance floor dynamite”. Definitely, someone to be on the lookout for!
