Dark Bird Is Home

I know that life is getting too hectic and I really need to slow down when I miss the new releases of my favourite artists.

The Tallest Man On Earth released the title track from his new LP Dark Bird Is Home (due in May, oh so soon!) and this is really a reminder that no matter how much more complicated his sound becomes, it's really still about his husky vocals and a guitar. The beginning of the track is this familiar delicate acoustic melody and simple narration, but closer to the end it grows into a completely different track. The drums kick in and the melody turns into something epic and layered: horns, piano, and all those other instruments and details so unusual for The Tallest Man On Earth. And you know what? I love it.
