Lets face it - it's mid summer and most people are exploring some warm/exotic locations around the world. For those of us stuck in the big cities, however, there's always one tiny hope called pool parties. Well, OK - that's my thing at least. It's always nice to pretend to be out of the concrete jungle and nothing makes a pool party better than a good soundtrack.
Later this summer, Ninja Tune's signed The Invisible are dropping a remixed version of their 2016 album Patience and things sound absolutely stunning. The first taste of that 4 track release is an exotic take on their "Love Me Again" song featuring Anna Calvi crated by London duo Chaos In The CBD.
The guys manage to keep the smoothness of the original track, but add a layer of... I would use the word bossa nova-ish feeling, but I might be wrong. Anyway - it does feel like a sound from somewhere far and hot. I honestly feel I'll be stuck on this remix forever - it's just too damn relaxing.
As I said this is just the first track of what's coming ahead, so as August 11th approach - stay tuned for more!
