Artists such as Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Jamiroquai, or even Bee Gees come to mind the moment you hear "Destination" by virtue of those distinctly soulful vocals placed over a funk/disco instrumental.
The Guest Room does a great job of blending Funk and Disco here albeit with a more modern touch and performed with musical grace. It's the stellar guitar arrangements, slick drums, and the vocals that really bring the track to life, particularly in the chorus where vocalist Adison Rice exhibits how catchy his delivery can really be.
“Destination” can be taken as a simple song about traveling and exploring, it’s also something a little deeper; it’s a declaration that no matter what you do, or where you go, the only thing that matters is who you’ve surrounded yourself with.
