Folk and electronica have always been pretty distinctly separate genres, but in recent years, the two have become more and more intertwined. In this case, we see a traditionally folk singer delving into a more experimental realm, and the results are absolutely stunning.
The Acid is a three piece group, with the lead vocals provided by none other than the beloved singer-songwriter RY X, who we here have grown to love. When you combine his capabilities with some atmospheric, yet dance-able, electronic beats, you get what is the lead single off The Acid's debut album, "Fame". It's quite the groovy earworm, resonating along the lines of Bon Iver or The xx.
