Thandi Marie's "Brand New" beautifully nails the kind of mordern R&B I adore... Sensual, peppered with electronic elements, and imbued in a sense of dreaminess.

I definitely think it's Thandi's lofty vocals that bring about this pensiveness throughout the track especially her voice glides over the airy instrumental in such seamless manner. The production is forged with live instrumentation and electronic textures, and this makes for quite a fascinating combination - a good example is when the soft pad opens up towards the end to make it's presence felt whilst these silky guitar licks slip into the mix.
