I found Rae Khalil while watching Rhythm + Flow on Netflix. I rarely watch reality formats, but damn there were some talents on that show, including Rae! Seeing her collaborating with T.Nava from Free Nationals really made my day! Her rapid-fire bars are a perfect edition for his composition.
Going back to T.Nava - I always found him super positive and loved his stage presence whether it was with .Paak or Free Nationals (solo performances). A true keyboard virtuoso. An awesome fact - I had no idea he toured with Snoop, Willow and Jayden Smith and The Pharcyde before researching this feature.
The track draws inspiratiosn from classic jazz, hip hop and soul music, all that sprinkled with a beautiful brass twist. Mad props to Black Nile & Chris Dave and The Drumhedz as well.
Honestly, Friday just got a lot better.
