There's a side of the electronic music perfect for reflection & introspection and I absolutely love it.

Be it ambient downtempo or melancholic electronica/garage; whether you sit with your eyes closed or go for a run, there's something magnificent about the way the synths, the sound design & the repetitive beatwork intertwine.

Today's gem "Touching Distance" is more suitable for a run (or even for a dance toward the end of the song) but this doesn't make it any less deep. The 3-and-a-half-minute journey through various UK electronic genres, courtesy of London producer Synthetic Epiphany, is a story about loneliness. It takes you from cinematic future garage, through dark breakbeat, building up all the way to ecstatic dance music.

A true masterpiece.
