As a follow-up to our recent SwuM interview, I'm excited to share a new project from him, afternoon bike rides (one of my fav 2021 discoveries) and of course the Chillhop Music team, who as always do not disappoint.
It's pretty cool to kick-off 2022 with a vocal-driven music. the trio (afternoon bike ride) share, “For ‘Rewind’ we hopped on a guitar loop from SwuM and built the track around it, adding bass, drums and a bunch of synths. Lia wrote about wanting to go back to a memory of her childhood with her dad when they spontaneously decided to go to the beach and ended up spending the night. Then we sent it back over to SwuM to add some finishing touches.“
This all speaks for the forward-thinking and evolving team at one of my favourite labels out there.
The collaboration is also the first single off of Field Studies Vol. 1, a 12-track compilation out next month, which will feature both Chillhop and Friends of Friends roster artists. Stay tuned for more!
