Summers Sons are my new fav find from the UK rap scene - the kind of jazz & hip hop fusion I just adore, plus their flow style is quite pleasant (reminded me of Fanshore & Tropic in a way).
Zaya, a Brighton based singer, joined the party and we've got a chilled & melancholic bossa-inspired hip hop, jazz, soul and r&b blend. "Bittersweet" is the story of a single mother and her struggles to raise two children (the Summers Sons, in that case).
The track, as they state, should be listened within the context of their forthcoming album The Rain, out via Melting Pot Music on 23 November. Stay tuned for more of it!
