The past years have been astonishingly busy for international sensation Stickybuds. With over a decade of producing under his belt, he's seen releases world-wide to having a residency at Shambhala Music Festival to getting a co-release with New Zealand's K+Lab in a feature film.
In 2018, the Canadian producer turned heads early-on with his remix of K+Lab's "Pull Up". Subsequently bringing a one-two punch, Stickybuds kept eyes affixed with a blues-electro banger "Crooked Politicians", which was censored by the Facebook Ads Team when attempting to promote it. An activist in his own right, Stickybuds uses his stage for real-world themes in addition to his incredibly dance-able tunes. While some seek refuge at festivals, concerts, and raves from the ills of the world, Stickybuds proves a resistance movement is also built on the dance floor.
In this drum n' bass heater, Stickybuds and Jamaican MC Blackout JA settle the score with a fist-clenching, angry-bass-face-inducing form of sonic rebellion. "The Firestarter" sparks the will to fight back with a bassline just as aggressive as its theme: the perpetual conflict co-orchestrated by government and big energy to keep the cash flowing. This track is due out on his upcoming album entitled Take A Stand, which will be released later this year via Westwood Recordings.
