Steven Bamidele is a 24 year old singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Brighton making contemporary soul music out of his self-built studio.

I first stumbled upon his music back in 2017 when I featured the minimal soul-driven delight "You Can't Put Out This Fire". Today's feature titled "Lighting Fires", while carrying the melancholic hazy feel of his previous releases, is definitely skewing towards rather lo-fi pop / upbeat r&b lush vibes. The whole track is drenched with a feeling of "everything will be alright" and it's a nice change of pace from Steven.

A damn good reason to love music today.
