Starsmith hits the ground running with his debut single "Leave Me Slowly" - an emotive gem brought to life by glittery piano chords and the presence of soothing vocals.
Interestingly enough, London-based producer Startsmith is no newcomer to the music industry. He has co-written and produced behind the scenes for iconic names such as Zedd and Jess Glynne. "Leave Me Slowly" serves as the first release he has put out for himself in a long while. The track features soulful vocals from Ellie Goulding adorned over UKG-inspired drums and woozy synths. I also loved the vibrant percussion and the groovy bass line that gives the track an energetic spark.
"Probably the last time I made music for myself was Aeble/Better By Your Side in 2015. I stumbled across my own sound then, and again last summer when this song started to form after I asked Ellie to send me a voicenote of her singing anything", says Starsmith
