With so many bad things around, let's wrap ourselves in positivity.
Today, Stan Forebee's debut EP with Stereofox got out and it's everything you need in your day. The Dutch, Melbourne-based producer shared The Long Road, a 6-song project with the brightest & most uplifting melodies and groovy drums.
He explains, “Now more than ever, the music I create tends to be a little insight into my soul, a reflection of my personality. I want to offer hope and encouragement to people in challenging times of uncertainty and I think that shines through in my work. As I’ve been navigating the complexities of constant change for years, with the Long Road EP I like to encourage people to choose substance over shortcuts; resist the lure of easy solutions or escapes in these times, but instead walk the long & difficult road, which eventually fosters true resilience and personal wisdom & growth.
“Small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it”
Stan himself has lived in many places and moved countless times, constantly forcing himself to embrace change and go along with it. Navigating the complexities of sharing life between Australia and The Netherlands, he shared he deeply longs for more certainty over the future. However, knowing that letting go instead of trying to control it, often leads to new doors being opened.
Sonically, the project has Forebee’s signature blend of jazz, instrumental hip-hop, cinematic elements, and intricate sound design for a unique listening experience, going beyond the “background-music” appeal of the genre. Do yourself a favor - hit the play button, close your eyes & transport yourself to a land with no worries.
