Inspired by his nights out in London, one of my favorite 2022 discoveries - Sound of Fractures returns with an inspiring new single. This feels quite on-point as I just returned from UK's capital 2 days ago, so this helps me re-live the great moments I had there.
Ever since I discovered Sound of Fractures, I've been keeping a close eye on the things he does. He is one of the few artists that took the best out of web2 and web3, and it makes me happy he receives the recognition he deserves. From selling out multiple NFT projects to being supported by Jess Iszatt (BBC Radio 1) and featured on Spotify's 4 AM Chillout editorial - hard work seems to be paying off for Jamie.
"This Place is inspired by London nightlife and all the memories I have from raving with my friends and traveling to and from parties in and around the UK. It’s an ode to the UK dance music I grew up on, from Roni Size to Goldie and MJ Cole.", shares the artist.
If you're a fan of Massive Attack, Jamie XX, and Burial there's no way you won't find the lovely darkness of "This Place" mesmerizing. I ended up playing this on a loop while daydreaming about the next night out.
