No One Else

I'm really impressed how a song can be both sexy & funky at the same time. Turns out, the right recipe is getting together a funk/broken-beat drummer & producer and a soul singer from Japan.

"No One Else" is the 3rd & last single from Soulization's upcoming debut album Holding Your Hand (out Nov 27th). It features our dear RiE MORRiS (whom you might remember from her EP, produced by edbl, In My Dreams. Together, they created something magnificent, which pays tribute to the old-time soul & funk aesthetics.

RiE elaborates, “It’s been an honor to be part of this exciting project. I enjoyed working with such a cool track. It brought out my new voice and turned out to be a very original sexy tune. Since the track gave me plenty of space to do pretty much whatever I liked, I let my feelings decide the topic. Soulization’s beat sounds sexy, passionate, wild, mature, yet unstable all at the same time. So my lyrics turned out to be that way, too. We both love how it’s got a free style.”
