Over the course of the last few weeks, I've been sharing with you bits and pieces taken from Sorvina and jakohitsdifferent's phenomenal 8-track EP Oh, The Places You'll Go, released on January 2nd.
Every time I go back and dig deeper into the songs crafted by the Berlin-based artists, I find something new and special. I find joy and inspiration in the effortlessness of their collective creative flow and the atmosphere of camaraderie they've created.
My latest Oh, The Places You'll Go obsession is a track called "Time". Sorvina's style of delivery reminds me of a conversation with a friend and is enhanced by the usage of a phone audio message at the end of the tune. Jakob, on the other hand, delivers a minimal, yet drum-centric instrumental that leaves enough room for expansion and allows listeners to focus on the storytelling of the track.
As always, these two have created a jazz-meets-rap masterpiece.
