erase me

After traveling and experiencing great music at this year's Primavera Sound in Barcelona, there's nothing better than going home and just soaking in with some beautiful, chilled music. If there's a voice which could perfectly soothe every worn soul, that's Sophie Meiers.

The talented US singer just released her latest track "erase me" featuring the beats of nion. Here's a little message from Sophie herself which she shared on her Facebook:

today i released a very special song with a really close friend. sometimes releasing music can be extremely nerve wracking especially when it is exposing a very vulnerable, sensitive side of myself. i wrote this song when i was in a very low, empty point, and it reflects this very intense apathetic feeling that was consuming me. initially, i wasn't going to release this, because it is really morbid and pretty depressing, but after listening to it a couple times i realized that i was able to let go and make peace with some of these feelings by creating this song, so i decided that maybe if it helped me it might also be able to help someone else.
