There's so much good stuff going on in the contemporary neo-soul scene. One of it's rising stars - London-based jazz/soul singer Sophie Faith is back with another gorgeous single titled "Salt". 3 minutes and 10 seconds of solid proof why this girl is going places. The build up and the raw emotions engraved in the track are just unmatched by anything I've heard lately!
“‘SALT came from a place of feeling burnt after a certain persons newfound interest in me, after previously being hostile. I just wanted to clarify my lack of tolerance for disingenuous behaviour and have fun with it. It’s sassy and empowered and that’s how I felt that day,” Sophie explains.
Also, mad props to Fred Cox (Rag N Bone Man, Grace Carter, Col3trane, Samm Henshaw) who produced the track. The sound is absolutely superb and a perfect "stage" for Sophie's impressive vocal abilities.
