I've been following Sofasound's path for a while now and when the US producer announced that he's releasing a new album with San Holo's label bitbird, I was extremely happy for him.
A few weeks ago, we got to taste what that album would sound like and if it's anything even remotely similar to "Life Is So Beautiful", then we are in for a great ride. I think I've mentioned this quite a few times in my posts, but since it is our reality, the narrative around being in quarantine always creeps in my texts. My point is that a track with such title and its uplifting bass ambiance is a great way to remind yourself about the beauty of things. One thing I do appreciate a lot these past 3 weeks is the morning workout/stretching routine I do during that 1 hour when my flat is coloured in gold by the morning sunshine. It's quiet and it feels weirdly nice.
Speaking of the inspiration behind this tune, Sofasound shares...
“Sharing memories with family and friends, trying new things, meeting new people, dancing to music in your underwear.. happiness is a momentary decision and you can be happy if you let yourself find it. I want to remind people that inevitably, if you let your heart sing, the suffering doesn't own you, and happiness can still exist in your heart.”
