I've spent the afternoon exploring the sounds of {Si}monami and it didn't took long before I fell in love with their music. The thing I enjoyed the most was the somehow simplistic mix between a very DIY sounds and... the sounds of nature? I am not sure how to explain their music, so I'll try to describe the scenery where I would like to be while listening to "Irma".
It is early in the morning and the sun has just showed above the horizon. There's a light breeze moving the surface of the ocean. It's cold, but just enough to substitute the need of coffee so early in the morning. There's no one around. No buildings, no people. Just sand and water and all I could do is sit down, face the fire ball up in the sky and stare at the water. Earlier today I realized how simple life actually is once you accept the oldest truth in the world - sometimes the best thing you can do is sit down, inhale, exhale and simply listen to the sounds and signals of the things around you.
