When Lu first discovered simmerdown last year, I vividly remember thinking to myself "what a unique blend of sounds". Because of that, seeing new music from the Cornwall-based producer immediately made me smile.
"motted" follows the gorgeous formulate of "vali[date] me", blending rhodes piano, r&b vocal chops and Kaytra-like grooves. The song is definitely one of the more dancier works of simmerdown and a perfect start to your Fridays.
If you could only see me now - sliding through my living room floors, enjoying the 7AM sun and busting some moves like there's no tomorrow. The unique genre blend crafted by simmerdown is nothing short of superb and I can't be more excited about her career.
