After winning quite a few prominent spots on Spotify and Apple Music's editorial playlists with her 2020 EP Daydreaming, Shaqdi is back with "Deja Vu" and her goal is to make you move. That definitely happened in my case, because I've been bouncing around the flat for the past 20 minutes. With influences stemming from electronic, R&B, pop, and funk, Deja Vu is an energetic banger about feeling both alone and run down by your daily routine and needing to find the strength to break out of it. With a thumping bass line, catchy lyrics, and a captivating hook, this is a perfect song to get her upcoming EP started.
