Ever since SG Lewis announced his debut album times and dropped a couple of tracks off the album, I'm getting more and more excited about it. We have now heard two tracks: "Feed the Fire" and "Time", which features Rhye and is an opening track. There is a very strong disco theme to both, so I am living for it.
"Time" is a warm and groovy track, with a strong funky bass line and all of that matches Rhye's captivating vocals oh so well. Somehow I can't think of a better vocal addition here. We will dance again very soon and I hope we will dance to SG Lewis' new album.
Time is a song that is central to the album thematically and sonically. Rhye has one of the most unique and distinctive voices out there, and I’ve been a fan for so long. We wrote the song at Rhye’s studio after watching the sun set in Topanga canyon, a memory which makes this song even more special to me.
