When I saw that santpoort dropped his new EP mudflat hikers via Chillhop Records, I was bummed out because I was traveling and just didn't have a free minute to dig into the release. Kept it for my journey back to Berlin because I know this would be quite the sonic experience... and I was right.

I am starting with a stand-alone feature of mudflat hikers's opening track "wading through the wetlands". Even the title is the embodiment of perfection. Inspired by his youth travels, the 6 tracks EP feels like a journey of self-discovery. Intimate, relaxing and... *insert your vision here*.

This is just a quick intro to the whole project, but I do plan to review the full EP. I heard it once and as I am about to board my flight back to Berlin, I'll definitely dig and explore more while being "cut" off the Internet world. So far, this track makes me want to travel back in those memories from the careless times of my childhood.
