Both Samuel Proffitt and Yoke Lore have been "guests" in our fox feed before, so seeing the 2 artists collaborating together brought a smile on my face.
I have to say - "Stringsnoise" is hands down the most emotionally impactful track I've heard this week... and as you can imagine I've heard quite a few tunes. There's something about the combination of those haunting electronic/experimental sounds and the vocals which just... hits me straight into that goosebumps spot.
"
" was written at a snow-clad cabin in Maine. It was a sub-two-minute banjo demo Adrian (Yoke Lore) had written with vocals recorded through his MacBook’s built-in microphone."
The track explores themes like death and relies on extensive melodies which are ideal for curling up with this winter weather. Unlike my previous feature, this really makes me want to stay at home and watch the world outside from my window.
You can wait through the hours and days for the dark nights to find you
Silicon weights on your neck every day don't trigger the good man inside you
Make it hot sweat, feel it in your chest
Put it in a body maybe that will save us
Before you get a heart, you gotta get taken apart
