For a while now Toy Tonics has been among my favorite labels as they've done so much for the jazz house and lofi house scene. One of their newest releases "La La Tune" by Sam Ruffillo and Kapote is a shining example of why Toy Tonics should be on your radar.
The Italian DJ and producer Sam Ruffillo is known for channeling his Italo-disco influence in a modern manner. With the help of Kapote, the pair have created a vibrant mixture of jazz, house, and disco on their newest release "La La Tune". The track is brimming with a sense of optimism and good vibes thanks to the bright pianos and the colorful percussion laid out throughout the mix. Towards the end "La La Tune" beautifully springs to life, especially with the presence of strings and melodic variations.
