Saïna never ceases to impress.
The UK singer whom I described as "Amy Winehouse meets Jorja Smith" (check her "Wrong Love") returns with a new single. "Strangers", produced by Ojay Beats, has a lot more of the latter, a marvelous UK sound blending soul, r&b, and boom-bap/hip-hop rhythm, with Asian-influenced melodies thanks to the Japanese instrument shamisen (a reference to her herritage).
This song is very personal & moving, telling the story of her grandpa’s decline from dementia, the struggles of her family, and her dearest memories of him. The song is a collaboration with the NGO Dementia UK, as Saïna wants to raise awareness of dementia & Alzheimer, especially among the younger generation.
