I get so incredibly excited when I find a track, which actually forces me to open my laptop and write something about it. I've been really quite lately on the fox, but sometimes I just can't help myself.
Ryan Downie aka RYD is my hidden gem (well not that hidden anymore, because people need to hear this). Think of likes of Haux, Japanese Wallpaper and Vancouver Sleep Clinic. "Work It Out" is a track of his debut EP Now There's Nowhere released just last moth. The track almost literally wraps around you, like a warm blanket on a cold day. This is the kind of comforting music that I want to listen to once it gets cold and nasty outside. The track is so well-produced that I can hardly believe this is one of the first few tracks we are hearing from RYD. But I am somehow sensing that is far from last thing we hear.
The track is gorgeous and atmospheric and you will want to put it on repeat, so drop what you are doing and listen to it.
