“These Words” wonderfully combine a Lo-Fi aesthetic with elements synonymous to R&B and Soul to craft an incredibly pleasurable listening experience.
I was particularly moved by the drums on here, and I mean emotionally and physically since they possess a unique swing. And you can tell that whoever created the instrumental is musically versed by virtue of the opulence leaking out of the key and bass arrangements. When it comes to the vocal performances, we’re acquainted with these soulful vocals from Amanda Silecchio throughout the first verse and chorus, and in the second verse Roy Matz jumps in to explore themes of truth in relation to our loved ones and ourselves.
