An absolute dream team.
Japanese artists have had a special place in my heart ever since our first release with yuhei miura in 2020. And today, one of the biggest projects we've had from the land of the rising sun is finally out.
re:plus & Osamu Fukuzawa bring Afterimage, their 8-piece joint project, defying the lofi genre while fusing it with mind-bending jazz. And of course, there's a unique touch by Osamu Fukuzawa: "I sometimes used several nature soundscapes recorded by me at Fukuoka, Japan. I like using the sounds of scenes from everyday life.”
re:plus elaborates on the title, “Due to the effects of COVID-19, we have experienced the loss of freedoms, favorite stores, and cherished places that we have taken for granted over the past three years. We also feel that world peace is going from bad to worse every day. It is during these days that we have been working on this album. Therefore, we wrote the songs with the image of the changing scenery of the city over time, and we titled the album “Afterimage” to include the meaning of our own common sense changing.”
I chose to share with you "Town bustle", featuring our dear Kazuki Isogai, as it's very fresh & out-of-the-box but trust me, check the full project on your fav platform here.
