Evening Ride

Warm melodies and smooth boom-bap sounds like a dream combination - and it certainly is, especially in this case.

Hungarian-born Rakuyou and Texas-native GXNXSIS got together for a distant collaboration which resulted in "Evening Ride", a sunrise-soaked blend of vibey chords and head-nodding beats - and our first release together. Rakuyou explains the process behind it:

It was nighttime and rained. I really love writing ideas at night – the calmness of the outside world helps me focus on what is happening inside my mind. So I started vibing and making chords with some smooth electric piano, then came up with this idea and the main structure of the song. I sent the idea to my good producer-buddy GXNXSIS who added some catchy drums for it and some days later, “Evening Ride” was made.

GXNXSIS adds:

When making “Evening Ride,” I thought back to all the fun moments I’ve had during long drives and jamming out to my favourite songs. I really wanted to create an atmosphere of a smooth relaxing ride but still keep the fun nature of cruising down the road with the windows down! When I was younger I spent a lot of my time taking long drives to see my wife. We would always have a blast talking, listening to music and enjoying the sunset.
